What version of OS X (or hopefully MacOS) are you running?

What version of iPhoto are you running?

iPhoto has not been maintained or updated by Apple for roughly eighteen months.  Photos has been the supported app since that time.

I am using Capitan OX 10.11.6 and have the same issue. IT NO LONGER LOADS.  MY Computer was disconnected without being shut down this week.  Now, I have a slideshow that is just STUCK in iPhoto.  Photos cannot DO what I want it to do.

If there is a way to get it UP and running, I would like to OPEN and CORRECT iPHOTO and use THAT program.  I do not LIKE Photos as it is  NOT user friendly.  If anyone has trouble shooting advice on how to get my iPhoto to reopen, PLEASe advise.  I have 1000s of photos from a recent trip that are assembled and ready to burn a DVD for my relatives (because that is what they like!(

Why is Mac turning into a PC?  It USED to be USER FRIENDLY and EASY.  PLEASE advise!! Anybody? Beuller?

Well, iPhoto 9.6.1 was indeed the final version of iPhoto that Apple released.

Sorry, don't know how to offer any additional help.
