Q: I've just upgraded to Sierra and all email content has disappeared
Working on a MacBook Air
1.8GHz Intel Core i5
4GB 1600MHz DDR3
Just upgraded to Sierra
All emails prior to upgrade are now missing content. Emails are still listed in mailboxes with subject and first few words but there is no content in the preview pane and no content when I fully open the email.
I've shut down and restarted several times (in desperation).
I've seen some discussion on forums about attachments going missing but not body content as well. And I am not very technical so sometimes find these hard to follow.
Please can you help.
Thank you,
MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2012), iOS 10.0.2, actually version 10.12

Try rebuilding the mailbox.
If that doesn't work, try re-indexing the mailboxes. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.
Reindex messages For El Capitan, try looking in V3.
Reindex messages (2) See post by Linc Davis
