Q: How do you see if photos are imported from iCloud to macs hard drive?

I have turned off my photo stream (to save data on iCloud as I have gone over my 5 GB max) I now have 30 days to retrieve them. I believe that I have them all saved to my Mac's hard drive is there a way to check this?

I can post relevant screenshots if needed.

MacBook Pro, macOS Sierra (10.12)

Photo Stream does not take up any of your allotted iCloud space. Since you turned it off, it won't be visible on the Mac in Photos anymore. You don't have 30 days to retrieve them - that is for when you delete photos. But if you turn it back on, then the ones that are less than 30 days old and under 1000 photos will re-load. Anything over that threshold will be gone. Photo Stream is a temporary sharing service only.

    Best of luck,

Open the Photos application and see if they are there.
