2 days ago my home button was not responsive but touch id was working ,worked sometimes only since my phone is out of warranty apple store didnt accept my phone , so i took to local repair shop , he opened my phone checked everything and said that one part of home button is not receiving connection and then again he made the phone after that touch id was  not working , where will be the problem? should i replace the lcd metal back plate?? and ive heard replacing home button is not a good idea as it results in many errors while restoring

at this point my home button is not at all responding and the touch id too

what should i do? will this be a problem in circuit or the lcd back plate or the button itself?

Ask the technician you took it to. He was responsible for repairing your phone.

he said there can be three possibilities 1 the lcd metal plate that connects to home button 2. the home button itself

    3. circuit (which i dont think so can be the problem)
and before taking my  phone to repair shop i applied a lot isopropyl alcohol and after one day the home button stopped completely and after opening the phone (by technician) the touch id went too
where will be the problem home button or lcd back plate?
