You can also try one of a couple of utilities:

Insomnia
Sleepless

Both may be found at www.macupdate.com.

Why reward points?(Quoted from Discussions Terms of Use.)
The reward system helps to increase community participation. When a community member gives you (or another member) a reward for providing helpful advice or a solution to their question, your accumulated points will increase your status level within the community.
Members may reward you with 5 points if they deem that your reply is helpful and 10 points if you post a solution to their issue. Likewise, when you mark a reply as Helpful or Solved in your own created topic, you will be awarding the respondent with the same point values.

it should be noted that sleepless and insomnia are extremely harmfull to your hardware, your macbook sleeps for a reason when you shut it, i would give it a couple hours max, until it really overheated, also, insomnia will void your apple warranty, think how fun that would be, trying to explain to the apple guy how it overheated... lol

Saying that the MacBook would seriously overheat after several hours of operating with the Display closed is incorrect.
Actually, the MacBook and MacBook Pro were designed to safely operate with the Display closed.Apple calls it "ClamShell Mode"
As stated,to enable this function, you must connect an external Keyboard,Mouse and Display.
If,when you operate your MB or MBP in ClamShell Mode,it overheats.
Your MB is defective. And you need to contact AppleCare to have it repaired.

As far as the Sleepless and Insomnia Hacks,As of 10.4.8,they no longer work.
