Alarm Clock Hassle

Hi,

I recently switched from BB to iPhone SE and I must say i like the iPhone a lot! The only thing I can't get setup right is the alarm clock.

My "Going to bed procedure" used to be:

- Plug in charger

- Click "bedtime mode" on the popup

That was it, phone only passes phone calls and the screen shows the time in dimmed mode

Now it is:

- Plug in charger

- Swipe up the quick settings menu an select do not disturb

- Check the ringer volume to make sure it's not on full blast because I turned it up during the day in order not to miss a call. (what does the ringtone volume have to do with the alarm clock volume?????)

- Open a third party app that shows the time in dimmed mode.

9 out of 10 times when you plug in you charger it is because you go to sleep so why not present the do not disturb option automatically in a popup?

You always want your alarm clock ringing at the same volume, it's not like you turn up the alarm clock volume because you're sleeping in such a noisy environment you might miss it otherwise.

I can't understand that a user friendly phone like this is missing these basic features.

Does anyone have the same complaints or am I just really spoiled coming from a BB?

- Robert.
