Q: Busted headphone jack.
My iPhone 5s has a busted headphone jack. This means that when I plug in my headphones, whether it is my Apple headphones or my headset, the music will stop and start, songs will be skipped, voice command will activate itself and sometimes the volume will turn up and down by itself. This does not happen with any of my other devices when using the same headphones.
There is a small crack next to my headphone jack. I don't know if that might have something to do with it.
I am using iOS 10, but this also happened when I was using iOS 9.
There is no issue with the audio when using the iPhone speakers.
I can't seem to find a solution to my problem because I haven't been able to find people with the same problem, but I started to wonder, whether the new Lightning to Headphone Jack might be a possible solution, or do I have to get it repaired? Is it possible to repair such an issue?
NB: The problem started with my Apple headphones and then I switched to another headset. This worked for a while, but then I started having the same issues.
