Hi adihgbi,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities to post your question. I see that you are having some troubles with deleting old pictures taken on another device from your iPhone. If the little trash can is not visible near the bottom right of the display in your Photos app when you tap on the image you wish to delete, please make check to see if there are any available updates for your device. Update the iOS software on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you are still unable to delete your pictures on the device after checking for updates, try connecting the iPhone to your computer and use iTunes to remove the photos:

Turn off iTunes syncing

If you don't want the synced photos on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch anymore, turn off syncing in iTunes and they'll be removed from your device. You can turn off syncing for some of your photo albums or all of them at once.

Stop syncing some albums

  1. Open iTunes on your computer and connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  2. Click on the device icon in iTunes.
  3. Click Photos.
  4. Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections that you want to stop syncing.
  5. Click Apply.

Stop syncing all photos

  1. Open iTunes on your computer and connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  2. Click on the device icon in iTunes.
  3. Click Photos.
  4. Deselect "Sync Photos" then click "Remove photos."
  5. Click Apply.

Learn how to delete photos and videos synced from iTunes when you can't access the originals.

Keep your photos safely stored and up to date on all your devices

You might be able to sign into your iCloud account if you use iCloud Photo library to manage your photos across all of the devices.

These procedures should have those old photos deleted in no time! Have a great day.
