Q: Problems syncing outlook 2011 for mac with new outlook.com
I have a live.com email account (read outlook.com now).
I had other email accounts connected and the setup process created outlook.com aliases - e.g. me@mydomain.com became mydomain.com@outlook.com and all of the emails collected were put into that folder and a rule was created to do this.
Now, after the 26th September, 2016 - which I believe was a significant switchover date for the outlook.com platform - and which I believe was a problem date for Outlook 2011 on Mac - no emails were delivered to the outlook.com alias folder but a new folder was created labeled me@mydomain.com with a sub-folder labeled inbox and all emails since 26th September have been delivered there.
And there are now no rules on my outlook.com account.
Now, this is not a problem if I can see the inbox sub-folder and the contained emails.
If I use the web-based system - no problems I can see the sub-folder inbox; likewise If I use the iPad mail app - no problems.
However, if I use the OSX mail app OR Outlook for MAC (outlook 2011) then I cannot see the inbox sub-folder and thus nor the contained emails.
Can someone please help me get access to these sub-folders through outlook 2011 for MAC or the OSX mail app or tell me that the updates to the outlook.com system has limited access from my macbook.
Thanks everyone
