Leather case does not perfectly fit iPhone 7

I've recently bought the black Apple leather case for my new iPhone 7. After putting it on the phone I noticed that it does not fit tightly around the edges. I can hear the leather squeaking when I apply a little pressure to the sides (this happens when holding the phone). I've compared it with iphone 6s leather cases; they don't have this problem. For such an expensive case it should fit perfectly around the phone. Is this something other people have experienced? Any statement by Apple? Is it worth going to an Apple store for?
