iOS 10 Bluetooth troubles Polar H7

I have been using the Polar H7 Bluetooth Smart heart rate sensor. Usually with the Polar Beat app.

Once paired, I could use it from day to day reliably. But now that I have iPhone 7 and iOS10, I have to repeat the pairing process daily. And to do this, I must power down and restart iPhone. Other bluetooth pairings, in my car and such have been reliable. This is the only bluetooth smart device I have.

I have asked Polar, and they claim that it is an iOS 10 issue, and are waiting for Apple to fix it. I started a support ticket with Apple, after an Apple support twitter conversation set this up for me. The Apple support conversation was lengthy and pretty useless. I waited while the support person researched the issue. The gist of it is that iOS 10 is having issues with some bluetooth pairings. He also kept bringing up android, and said that newer versions of android also have a similar issue. As a side note, I don't know why an Apple support person would even bring up Android problems.

That said, please keep me informed about any Bluetooth Smart updates, or Polar Beat/H7 issues
