Q: Cannot disable iCloud on iOS7 iPad without losing data
I got 2 iPads, the older one still on iOS7, the other iOS9. Not thinking about the "progress" in iCloud services over the years I activated iCloud on iOS7 in order to sync some Pages documents. I got the message that documents have been uploaded to iCloud but to use "sync features" or iCloud Drive I need to update to iOS8.
Fair enough, but for now I simply wanted to go back to offline working so I disabled iCloud again. Now suddenly all my Pages documents have disappeared Re-enabling the (non-functional) iCloud makes them visible again.
Its weird that the documents are shown in Pages as not-uploaded (a grey upward arrow on each icon) but somehow they are disappearing when I switch off iCloud. As expected they don't show up on the other iPad with iOS9 either. Where are the documents then?
Mac Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), null
