I was having the same problem. But I found I could fix it by updating the Account Security on Yahoo under Account Information. Check and see if the "Allow apps that allow less secure sign in" is off. Once I turned it on, it stopped.

Did you fixed the issue of yahoo keep asking for password? here is my other thread and one of the community specialist respond to the issue but mine still asking for password after a week of my yahoo asking password fixed.
Unfortunately, I am having the same problem on my Mac and iPhone. But checking "Allow apps that allow less secure sign in" is did not help. I am at a loss.
