Red screen and shut down in restore iPhone 5s

Hi!

I really hope somebody here can help me.

My iPhone 5s cannot be restored. It is in recovery mode and asks to be connected to iTunes. When I do that and click restore in iTunes, it is first ''extracting software'', then ''waiting for phone'' the phone shows the Apple logo, and then the screen turns red and shuts off. iTunes shows the error 4013. I have tried everything I could find online to fix the error code, but the phone keeps going to the red screen and shutting off. I really want to make my phone work again.

Does anybody have advice?

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that you're receiving error 4013 when trying to restore your iPhone 5s. I know restore errors can be concerning, especially since your iPhone continues to show a red screen and power off. I'm here to help.

You mentioned you've tried everything that could be found online for this issue. Please make sure you've tried the steps below:

Install the latest version of iTunes.

Restart your computer.

Check for updates to your Mac or PC. If you restart your computer for an update, check for updates again after you restart.

Try to restore your device using another USB cable.

Try to restore your device on another computer.

Force your device to restart.

If you see error 9, 4005, 4013, or 4014 when you restore your iOS device
