Application switcher stops going to the application window

Hi there,

I use multiple desktops. I commonly use the application switcher to switch between applications (cmd-tab). Sometimes the application switching stops working. What I mean is I can choose the application but I no longer am taken to the desktop the application appears on. The only way to fix this is rebooting. Is there another way to fix this permanently. I am using TotalSpaces 2 - quitting the application does not seem to have any affect on my ability to fix the application switching issue. Running OSX 10.10.5

Any clues will be helpful.
