Q: When my MacBook Air goes to sleep my Desk top Icons are gone when i wake it. I have to restart to get them back

When my MacBook air puts itself to sleep my Desktop Icons disappear. I have to shout down and restart to get them back. I have Apple Care.

    1st thing to try...

     

    Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
