Q: cgpdftoraster error when printing to Epson R3000 from Adobe apps
My Epson R3000 suddenly started to give me "cgpdftoraster quit unexpectedly" errors when I attempted to print from Adobe apps such as Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. The page would print about ⅓ and the rest would be blank. I created a black vertical line on a blank page file and t again only printed the top one third. The printer utility monitor showed that a "filter" has failed. I printed two different Illustrator files with another Epson: X600 and they printed fine. When I tried printing a full page e-mail to my R3000, it printed the whole page with no problems. I restarted my iMac 27" (running Sierra) three times and restarted the printer as well but there was no change. The printer driver is the latest. This issue did not start after I upgraded to Sierra. I have been printing with no problem since. This was only a sudden problem today. I cannot tell what could be the source of the problem, only that it seems to be affecting Adobe apps but only on the R3000 and not on the 600!
At least it appears to be a software problem since the R3000 printed my e-mail file fully.
Does anyone have any idea how to remedy this problem?
thanks
