Congratulations on the purchase of your iPhone 7! Let's see what we can do to get your Apple Music membership and iCloud Music Library working on your new device.- How did you set up your new iPhone 7? Did you restore from a backup of your iPhone 5s, or did you set up as a new device?
- Have you updated to the latest iOS, which is iOS 10.0.2? Did you restart your iPhone after updating it?

iCloud Music Library: Understanding differences between Apple Music and iTunes Match
Turn on iCloud Music LibraryUsing Apple Music
Your Apple Music membership includes an iCloud Music Library, which allows you to enjoy your entire music library from all of your devices.
When you first join, Apple Music checks your music collection to see which of your songs are also in the Apple Music catalog. It does this by matching against your song’s details (such as name, artist, album). If we have your songs in our catalog, we make them available to access on all of your devices.
When Apple Music adds these matched songs to your iCloud Music Library, Apple Music doesn’t change or alter your original music files that reside in iTunes for Mac or PC or on your iOS devices from which they were added. We make these matched songs available to your other computers or devices in high quality 256 Kbps AAC, and they can be played on them only while your Apple Music membership is active.
In addition, iTunes will upload to your iCloud Music Library those songs that we can’t find in our catalog, to make them available to you on all of your other devices.
If you don't see your content on all of your devices
On the computer that contains your original music library, make sure that you're signed in to iTunes with the Apple ID that you use for your Apple Music membership and have iCloud Music Library turned on. Then, from the menu bar at the top of your computer screen or the top of the iTunes window, choose File > Library > Update iCloud Music Library.
lennydas, if your issue persists after trying these initial steps, please reply to this thread with a little more information about your situation, and we'll investigate further.
Enjoy the rest of your day! -
Oct 9, 2016 2:34 PM in response to norm123by lennydas,Hi Norm123. Thanks for your reply. Yes I set up my new phone from an iCloud back up in the Apple Store, from 5s iCloud backup. . Some music will download and some will not. Some of my own cd's that I uploaded to the cloud years ago will no longer download, some will. Also I just updated my MacBook to Sierra and that also has the same problem now. I am signed into my account on both devices, automatic downloads is active. I can stream my music, just can no longer download some of my content. I noticed that my iPhone 7 was named len's iPhone 5s which I chsnged to iPhone 7. Even tried changing it back to 5s to see if that would work, but it didn't. I think it is a bug. Very annoying since I sold all my CDs and I am afraid of loosing my music

Oct 9, 2016 6:51 PM in response to lennydasby brenden dv,Hi lennydas,
Thanks for the update. If I understand correctly, your iTunes Library is playing all of your music, including the CDs that you imported. The issue is that you can't get the music on your iPhone 7, is that correct?
If you do not have a backup of your iTunes Library on a separate external drive, then I suggest you do that now.
