Same problem here in the Netherlands. All Apple devices ( TV, Iphone 4 and 6 as weel as 2 x Ipad ) are connected constantly without problem. Problem is with Imac after upgrade to Sierra. Mostly after 20 minutes when screensaver is activated I loose my wifi connection and have to activate again and again and again. Maybe must deactivate the screensaver as long as no debug by apple.

I have a similar issue with my iMac. After upgrading from El Capitan to Sierra, I am having network issues.

When it is in sleep mode the network icon on the top right corner says it have a full strength network signal. When I log into the iMac that network icon acts like it is searching for a network. If I try to access my home network I get the error no network found. Now if I wait a minute or two before trying to access my home network, the network icon still shows it is searching but it is actually connected. I can open Safari and search the web or get mail, etc. The network icon doesn't really show the actual state the network is in.

It has been about a week since I updated to Sierra and the network icon issue I reported on 10/22/16 seems to be fixed. I am not aware of any updates coming to my iMac but the network icon now shows full strength only when connected to our LAN. Weird that it is fixed but it makes me very happy. I have rebooted a few times since the upgrade, I don't know if that is related or not.

irina_w,

Thank you for your reply. My network is ok/reliable, as it is only my iMac that has the problem. My other devices (iphone, iPad, laptop, MacBook) all connect immediately with no issues.

Had a look at the info you provided but no fix.

Problem is still there, even though last couple of days it is not consistent as at various times 'awakening' the iMac from 'sleep', sometimes it connects straight away to network and sometimes it doesn't.

B.regards
