My macbook air does not show up as a device in my iCloud account - even when I'm ON the macbook air. Only my phone and iPad show up. I am not sure the devices are linking. Any suggestions?

Actually i mean it does not show up as a device in my Apple ID. it shows my cell phone and iPad but not my macbook air
Ok... still not 100% sure I understand what you are expecting.
I'll assume you are using the same Apple ID on this Macbook as on your phone and iPad.
Have you signed in to iCloud on the Macbook? System Preferences > iCloud?
When you are looking for the Macbook, what website are you signed in to?
appleid.apple.com? The devices section?
