Q: Can't receive push notifications from Gmail?

If you are unable to receive Push notifications from your Mail app as well as the Gmail app, you can try uninstalling both of these apps then reinstall them. I would create a backup of your data before you do. Once you reinstall each app, you should see a pop up box requesting permission to "Allow push Notifications" Be sure that you allow this. Remove built-in Apple apps from the Home screen on your iOS device with iOS 10
If this does not resolve the issue, you can restore the device to factory settings using iTunes on your computer. Then set up the device as new without restoring any data from the backup. Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings
You can use your iCloud Apple ID to sync your contacts and calendars. And download your past purchases to have your Apps that you want on your iPhone. Download your past purchases
