Q: iTunes stops playing when connecting to bluetooth device

New issue,

Whenever I connect with my bluetooth device iTunes stops playing and freezes requiring an iTunes quit and reopen. Both device and iTunes are paired and have worked in the past.

iTunes 12.5.1.21

IOS 10.11.6

Bose Solo System

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)
