Q: Apple Music individual swap to another device

I just started my apple music free trial on my current device; an iPhone 6 Plus, and I plan to continue it once it expires.

I tried logging into Apple Music on my iPad Air and I noticed I could stream the songs but could not download.

I have a pre order for the iPhone 7 Plus and will have it by the end of the month and was wondering if I could set that up as the primary device so I could download the music?

Hi alysonfromla,

I see you are a new subscriber to Apple Music and it looks like you have some questions. There is no need to set a primary device to download music via Apple Music. You can associate up to 10 devices with your Apple ID. So when you get your new iPhone 7 Plus you just need to sign into Apple Music and all of your saved music will appear.

View and remove your associated devices in iTunes

If you do not get the option to save music to your library or download it to your device, make sure that iCloud Music Library is enabled. Take a look at the article below for more information.
