Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
It looks like iTunes alerts that you don't have enough disk space to back up your iPhone, but you've verified that you have 200 gb free. It's good to see that iCloud is working fine. Let's try some troubleshooting so you can back up using iTunes, too.
First, start up your Mac in safe mode:
This information comes from How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac.Try starting your Mac in Safe Mode. Restart your computer. Hold the Shift key when you hear the startup sound. Release the Shift key when you see the Apple logo appear. This starts your Mac in Safe Mode. Safe mode performs a directory check of your startup disk, and removes some cache data. After your Mac finishes starting up, restart your Mac normally (without holding the Shift key) and see if the issue is resolved.
If iTunes still gives you the same alert after trying safe mode, you can rebuild the Spotlight index next. This can help iTunes recognize the right amount of available storage on your Mac.
You can follow the steps in Rebuild the Spotlight index on your Mac.
Let us know if these steps helped.
Sincerely. -
Oct 10, 2016 3:01 PM in response to sarah_s1by MSJJ000,Thank you for the quick reply Sarah. That did help me in understanding MacOS.
In the meantime I have provided additional details to a product specialist as this method and PRAM aand SMC resets didn't resolve it in this occassion. As soon as I here back I will post additional details.

Oct 15, 2016 2:20 PM in response to MSJJ000by MSJJ000,Hi Sarah,
Is there anything else that I should be trying over and about the suggestions. I tried to backup on a PC and had the same error as on my Mac.
Thanks.
