Do these same playlists exist in your main library, are the right tracks in them there?

Do they exist on the device when you look at playlists on it, and again are the right tracks there?

I.e. is the content of the lists only apparently missing when you view the device through iTunes?

    tt2,

thank you for the quick answer, but i didn't understand. the playlists exist in the iPhone in the right order. i don't understand what do you mean by the main library (JPEG1). as for the third questijpeg1.JPGjpeg2.JPGjepg3.JPGon the answer is yes (jpeg2), (jpeg3).

    thank you,

    joshua.

Yes JPEG1 shows the library. Using the disclosure triangle to hide the device (or disconnecting it) makes it clearer what is stored locally. Given that the next thing you see it Apple Music Playlists, and that both JPEG 1 & 3 show content in the cloud I wonder if you're not suffering from a case of Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash. If all the playlists on the iPhone are cloudy too then that will be why what is in them doesn't show in iTunes. That it probably going to show what is physically present on the iPhone. Likewise you cannot sync cloudy tracks from iTunes to a device. In either case once you're using the iCloud Music Library from either Apple Music or iTunes Match you don't sync over USB. Instead you add content to one copy of the library, and then download or stream to others as required.

Are the media files still present in the media folder? Or is this a new computer?

You can download the content to either your your computer or your device, but it would be redundant to redownload what is already there. See Download your past purchases - Apple Support.

And you didn't backup the iTunes library and your other personal data first?

You can download content using the cloud icons, but anything that wasn't purchased from the iTunes Store will be tied to your Apple Music subscription and will only work as long as you keep that active.

An iCloud backup of a device does not include the media. Purchases can be redownloaded on demand as long as the rights holders haven't removed the content from the store. Since it seems you have Apple Music you should be able to download the rest of the music library, however this will be DRM laden, and will only work as long as you maintain your subscription.
