Does favorites install cookies in Safari 10.0

Seems my favorites are somehow reinstalling cookies in Safari 10.0, even after I keep clearing the cache after each session. Do favorites always install cookies? Do I have to delete all my favorites to prevent this?

Yes, favorites install cookies.

No, you do not need to delete anything.

There's nothing inherently wrong with cookies. Websites use them to record your site options, such as location, so you will see local news or weather for your location, or a shopping site linking to the nearest store.
