my macbook shows 17gb photos i want to free space

my macbook shows 17gb photos , i have deleted all images but still mac shows 17 gb photos . i have empty trash also.

i need to free memory very soon.

please help

If you deleted them from Photos or iPhoto you'll need to launch the program again. If you used iPhoto select its trash can in the sidebar and select delete. If you used Photos select the Recently Deleted folder in the side bar. Then select the photos in the recently deleted folder and click on the delete button in the upper right corner of the application window.
