Oct 9, 2016 1:33 PM in response to Squishiby Diana.McCall,Hi. Are you using AirPlay or Home Sharing? That is, are you pushing video from Mac to ATV, or is ATV pulling video from the iTunes program on the Mac? If using AirPlay, you may need to turn off Play Purchases from iCloud in the ATV AirPlay settings. Please describe exactly what you're trying to do, and why it doesn't work. Identify your ATV and software version. See Identify your Apple TV model - Apple Support if not sure. And identify you iMac version and software. Have you restarted ATV, and rebooted iMac since any recent software update?

Oct 9, 2016 7:08 PM in response to Diana.McCallby Squishi,Thanks Diana for responding. I think I may have found the problem. I must be suffering from dropped connection because I'm finding incomplete downloads are. occurring. I'm trying to use Home Sharing. I have a iMac 27" 2009 running OS 10.11.6. My ATV is the previous generation (3rd Gen) running up to date firmware. I'm also running iTunes 12.5.1.

Oct 10, 2016 2:19 AM in response to Squishiby Winston Churchill,There's something more than dropped connections happening here if you are being charged for the same rental twice. The rental will only show up in the computers app if it is fully downloaded on the computer, which is why I don't think dropped connections is your problem. It sounds to me as though you are simply renting it again from the movies app instead of using the computers app to play the download on the computer.
