What is the best portable charger for a festival?

Hello! I am interested in buying a portable charger for going to a few music festivals. I own an iPhone 6s Plus and I would like this phone to last all weekend. But I don't want to lug around something massive, any suggestions?

Cheers!

Hi

When buying electronic accessories for your iPhone, ensure that they are either genuine Apple products or that they have been certified as Made for iPhone under the MFi program. Certified items come with the "Made for iPhone" logo on them and/or on their packaging.

Genuine Apple Lightning to USB cables have certain text and a serial number printed on them.

Using uncertified or counterfeit cables or accessories may damage your iPhone and/or adversely affect operation. Apple's warranty does not cover damage caused by use with a third party product that does not meet Apple's specifications.

You may therefore wish to consider, for example, a mophie Juice Pack:

Hi!

I had this issue before! Although yesterday I just pre-ordered a "Festival Fuel" from here www.festivalfuel.co.uk

They're really cool and they've got a really bright light/torch on them for if you loose anything or need to go grab something from your tent in the pitch black.

They've got a code PREORDER10 gets you 10% off I think. Although it may not be working still. You'll have to check

Hope I've helped!

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for your reply, the morphie does look good but it is vastly expensive, over $100 dollars for 60% extra charge, I don't think this will last me a full festival at all! I will look into the festival fuel option, much cheaper and I could get up to 4 full charges according to their website. I know its not Mfi but if the cost for Mfi is 4 times the cost then I think its worth the risk.

Thanks Jonathan & Sami

How much did your iPhone 6s Plus cost? Would you be happy to pay the full retail price to replace it, if it is damaged by an uncertified third-party accessory, which voids your Apple warranty?

Festival Fuel's website domain name was registered on 31 July 2016 and has privacy protection, so you cannot see their address or contact details. Their website also does not comply with UK law or EC directives.

It is also interesting that you also asked the OP to re-post a website link after the Host (Apple) removed it from the original reply.

Is this whole thread, perhaps, spam?

Thanks for this sami, the link doesn't work? Can you send it again please?

I am also curious to know how were you able to compare prices and alleged performance:

  • "over $100 dollars for 60% extra charge"
  • "if the cost for Mfi is 4 times the cost"
  • "I could get up to 4 full charges according to their website"

when, according to your subsequent post, the link to the Festival Fuel website "doesn't work" and you needed Sami (who only joined Apple Support Communities today, coincidentally) to "send it again".
