Q: Photo Stream not working on iMac after OSX Sierra Upgrade

Ever since upgrading my home iMac to OS X Sierra (10.12), Photo Stream is not showing up in the Photos app at all.

It is enabled in Photos Preferences (the checkbox for "My Photo Stream" is turned on). The Photos version is 2.0. All updates have been applied. I've tried signing out and back into iCloud and everything else I can think of, but it still doesn't show up in the left hand nav. Interestingly on my office iMac and my Macbook 12", both of which are upgraded to Sierra, and on my iPhone 7, Photo Stream still works. So it's something very specific to this particular iMac, but I am completely baffled as to what else to do. In all other respects Photos app on the iMac seems to be working fine, it imports photos from my iPhone with no problem, etc.

    Greetings ray159,

Thanks for your post. It looks like Photo Stream is not showing up for you in your Photos app even though all the settings are correct. I know Photo Stream is a great feature and I will be more than happy to help.

You have done a great job at troubleshooting this issue before coming here. What I would recommend is testing this issue in a new user account to narrow down if this is a system wide issue. Take a look at this article:

Thanks so much Sarah. I created another user on the iMac, logged in as that user, logged into iCloud, and sure enough, My Photo Stream shows up in Photos under that other user.

So great... now we know it's a problem specific to my main user account on this iMac. Is there a quick fix? Some file in the Home folder that I can change or delete?

    Hello ray159,

Thanks for getting back to us and trying that step. We do have another step you can take that should help get your user back up and running.

For this issue, lets repair the Photo library. Take a look at this article:
