What is a good Resume writer app for the Mac

I current use different apps to manage my lists of jobs, education, references, skills etc and then I copy and paste the ones that fit the job that I'm applying for into a 'master' pages document. That pages document then gets exported to a pdf or Microsoft Word document for submission to a recruiter or Job Web site.

having all of these different pieces of info spread out among many applications is pretty difficult to manage, so I'm looking for a dedicated app that is designed specifically for this task.

Google is usually my hero here, but I've only found ios apps so far. Surely there is a Mac equivalent of Resume Star or other resume app?

You don't need a dedicated App however, all you need is templates for any Word Processor, which Pages and Word both have. Pages has placeholder text so dragging, or copy/pasting text into place retains the layout formatting.

You should look out for reliability and durability of the document format. Pages fails on that criterion as Apple keeps trashing formats and features.

LibreOffice is free and uses the standard open document format as well as opening and saving to Word .doc/x. It also has a database to keep track of details and submissions.

I use Pages '09 because it has the greatest features and best melds the graphics, tables, charts with the text and DTP.

Understand that almost all electronically submitted résumés are scanned by applicant tracking software that expects the submitted Word or PDF document to be in a standardized format. Google for that information.

Use a résumé template, or your own style format that departs from the expected format norms, and you are just wasting your time.

Of course it would have to export the finished product in multiple formats. Back when I used Windows, I had a Resume maker app that stored all of your job history, contact info, references, etc and let you design the page layout separately letting you choose which information was included and in what order. Think of it this way, content versus presentation. It separated the two very nicely. After your were done, you could export it in MS Word, PDF, rtf, and other formats for submission.

I wonder if it's still around, because my Mac is dual boot with Windows 10. It looks like the Mac isn't a good platform for resume writing.
