How can I print a card that is 5.5 by 4 in. that is made to fold in the middle of the card stock it is made from. It is a simple card that does not need to be folder double folded. I thought I could print, fold and be good to go.

I purchased notecards that are white completely. They are made so that when the fold is made the card is 5.5 by 4 in. with 4 inches being the height. I want to print a simple black and white image. It seems straight forward. I created a template that is 5.5 by 4. in and put the image on it at the top upside down. Tried to print and nothing!

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

Ignore the actual size folded, what you are printing is the opened folded out design.

So you should have two pages in Pages inside and outside of the card 8" x 5.5".

Lay up up your design with:

Back | Front on Page 1 (Outside)

and

Inside Left | Inside Right on Page 2 (Inside)

Sorry I missed where you said it was not folded.

Have you created a custom page size in Page Set-up?

"Tried to print and nothing!" tells us absolutely nothing.

What steps did you take?

Why did you put the image "at the top upside down"?

Printing to what printer?

What does "nothing" mean? What actually happened?

We are not in the room with you and can not see what you talking about. You have to tell us.

Thank you Peter. My mistake. I purchased cards that are 8 by 5.5 in. It already has a "crease" in the middle for folding. I want to print an image so that you can see the image on the front and either open it long way or flip up the front. Then there would be text on the inside. I printed to a Brother black and white (the image is black and white) but it would not print. I also printed to an HP which did print but the image was not position correctly. It could have something to do with the image. It was one created by a designer for my daughters wedding invitation. I went into Preview, cut and pasted the image that would be on the front of the invitation and wanted to use it for an engagement party coming up in November. So when I say nothing the Brother literally didn't print.

I put the image on the card upside down based on hold the paper comes through the printer. But I could be wrong.

Does this help any at all or did I just muddy the water.

1. What version of Pages are you using?

2. Are you actually using OSX 10.7?

3. Have you created a Custom page size 8 x 5.5" ? I take it the card is 4 x 5.5" when folded.

4. What format/size in mb is the image?

5. Have you got the latest Printer Drivers for whatever printers you are using?
