Move to Predicted mailbox

Sunday, 12/10/17 Just talked to Apple Support. They know the bug keeping predicted mailbox from working is there and are working on a fix. Said to watch for software update notifications and hopefully the repair will be in the next update.

I first came across this feature in iOS 10, where it should help you staying organized. In iOS 10, it proposes the folder where you are most likely going to move that mail to. Say you have a folder named "company", Mail will suggest that folder for any mail coming from and sent to "xyz@company.com".

Seems not working for me too... There is "move to predicted mailbox" with doble clic but no mailbox name appear.

Any suggestion?

Well, it is supposed to work like in iOS 10, but on mac OS 10.12.1, it's greyed out, so does not have any value. I wonder if I should rebuild the index to get it working?

I am having this problem as well. Not only is this predicted mailbox grayed out, but no longer is the latest mailbox you copied or moved to remembered! I HATE it when devs change a long-time existing behavior not only for no seeming reason at all, but don't bother to tell us users it's changed!

Apple: please fix this and stop the ad hoc behavior changes (this from a software developer of 42.5 years).

Stupid "predicted mailbox" is grayed out for me too. AND no longer is the latest mailbox you copied or moved to remembered! One of the most useful features removed (mailbox you copied or moved to) and in it's place a grayed out useless feature? FIX THIS APPLE, WE'RE WORKING HERE!

Same here. Seems this started since the last OS update a couple days ago. Really annoying as I use the move to last folder option a LOT.

I never used the beta and am fairly certain it made it's appearance in 10.12.1. The "move this email to that folder you moved the others to" is vastly more important to my email workflow that 99% of the other Mail features. This seems to be a mistake on Apple's part and I'm sure they will address & fix in the next update, but is an unfortunate consequence of what happens when singleness of purpose (EMAIL) is lost while in pursuit of value adds - Featuritis as it's been called.

The "Move to <last mailbox used> again" command has been moved from the contextual menu to the Message menu, and now has a command-key.

I assume this feature has been brought over from iOS 10, where it works amazingly well. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like they have all of the pieces working quite right in Sierra, yet.

command-key shortcut is somehow missing a visual component to directly see/remember what exactly <lastDir> was..

so no option for me, but thanks for the hint!! 😉

I'm in the same boat. Has anyone reported it, at least as a "missing feature?" I use that previous folder command constantly and I'm missing it right now.
