getsofteer.com blocks safari and all other browsers

Was reading the news and suddenly Safari is pointing to getsofteer.com and a message pops up that I should update flashplayer. Only choice to to select OK. Everything else is greyed out in Safari history, bookmarks one can not switch to another webpage. All other browsers are also inactivated. One can force quit Safari and than other browsers work. but i you start safari again it is still pointing to getsofteer.com. Serious maleware. How do I get this out of Safari?

1. Click  in the menu bar and choose “Force Quit”.

In the window that opens up, select “Safari” and click “Force Quit.


2. Relaunch Safari holding the shift key down.

The pop-up that crashed Safari will not return.


3. Turn off wifi and turn it back on.

Click Wifi icon in the menu bar and select “Turn Wifi off”.

Visit another website.

You won’t have internet connection.

Turn on Wifi. Click Wifi icon in the menu bar and select “Turn Wifi on”.

Select your Network.
