Pick "sort by date" and "oldest message on top". That should give you what you want.

Oct 10, 2016 8:48 AM in response to Anthony Belangerby danbaumbach,Thank you for your quick reply. I am already sorting by date. If I choose newest messages on top, then the newest message is at the top of the list. I want newest messages on the bottom. That's what I've always done.
The problem is that when I load mail, either from scratch or just from closing it, the scroll is always at the top while the newest messages are at the bottom so I have to grab the scroll bar and drag it to the bottom.
I've never had to do this before!
