Q: Mail Scrolling and Sorting

I normally get my new messages at the bottom of the list of messages.  So, the message list in my mail program is always scrolled to the bottom.  This position has been saved till Sierra.  Now the messages are always scrolled to the top.

Very frustrating.  Apple why are you making things so difficult???

Above the list of messages show be a pull down that says "Sort by ...."

Pick "sort by date" and "oldest message on top".  That should give you what you want.

    Cheers!

Thank you for your quick reply.  I am already sorting by date.  If I choose newest messages on top, then the newest message is at the top of the list.  I want newest messages on the bottom.  That's what I've always done.

The problem is that when I load mail, either from scratch or just from closing it, the scroll is always at the top while the newest messages are at the bottom so I have to grab the scroll bar and drag it to the bottom.

I've never had to do this before!
