Q: El Capitan can Safari autocomplete email addresses on website mail links?

Hi,

If I went to a website, say the NYTimes, or LATimes, and clicked on the "mail this article" link, is there a way to have my contacts autocomplete?

I can't seem to make it work...It will of course autocomplete my email address, but not any others...

iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2014), OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

Trying to clarify - you click the Share button and Mail opens with a new e-mail containing the link? Your From address is filled in, but no To? If that is what is happening, that is normal. If when you start to type in the To field it doesn't suggest from your contacts, that isn't normal. Is that what is happening?

Hi, not the share button - that will open Apple Mail and the autocomplete works as expected. But the mailto links on various pages - the little icons that look like envelopes - used to autofill from the contacts/address book. That functionality seems to be lost.

I spent 90 minutes with Apple tech support - kicked up to second tier, who has passed it on to the Safari team to continue troubleshooting.
