Can't access google search results in safari

Hello,

I updated to IOS 10.0.2 then a few days later Sky upgraded my WIFI to fibre lite which involved a new hub. Now when I search on safari (BBC) for example it brings up Google search results but then I run into the problem where by I cant click on the search results BUT the web page doesn't actually load- in the safari search bar the text flicks for a split second from BBC to an IP address then flicks back to BBC and nothing else happens - I remain in the Google results page. However, if I type in the full web address in the safari search bar it does load the BBC web page?!

Im just using BBC as an example but this happens on all web sites, but if I switch off WIFI and use 4G I don't have this problem which suggests a WIFI issue. i have spoken to SKY extensively and they have replaced the hub to no avail. Sky now suggest this maybe an IOS issue as it's happening on both my iPhone and iPad - I don't have a non IOS device to try.

Any one else had this issue, what do I do now?

currently I'm having to switch WIFI off to load safari search results! My WIFI works fine within apps etc. I feel like I'm at a dead end!

HI,

Try this on one iOS device to test.

Tap Settings > Safari then swipe down and tap to Clear History & Website Data then restart the device. See if that makes a difference.

If not, your Wi-Fi settings may be corrupted due to the connection upgrade.

On the same device tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. You will have to re enter your Wi-Fi password in Settings > Wi-Fi. Then try Google search results.

If that worked, reset network settings on the other device as well.
