Q: Turning off Safari sync in settings does not work.
I have turned off syncing in settings, but I still get constantly interrupted by syncing of the bookmarks.
I have NO other Apple devices, I do not want to sync them. I wouldn't be bothering with it except there seems to be no control on how long a delay in activity before syncing starts. If I am actually doing research where I need to save a half dozen bookmarks on a particular topic, then go back and read them, it is impossible. I get 2-3 of the sites bookmarked, then I have to wait for syncing to finish.
There should be some kind of delay setting a USER can choose before syncing takes place. I absolutely HATE this OS; there is no way I would ever buy another Apple product because of it. There is no control or configuration for the user, and seemingly no concern for how a user might want things: it's Apple's way, or eff you.
A simple delay setting would solve the problem I have. I could choose 30 or 45 minutes of activity before my bookmarks were backed up, and that would work fine, but it wants to back up as soon as I save, or edit, a few bookmarks.
Somebody please tell me how to stop this out of control and incessant iCloud crap before I throw this iPad out the window and waste the money I spent on it.
Sorry for the rant, but this thing is driving me crazy, and that's already a short drive, and I'm in a fast car.
THanks,
