Hi Jonathan,

i tried to follow the instructions, but after pressing and holding the side button, the power off slider shows up with gray color (inactive). ii tried to press firmly but nothing happens (pressing for 10 to 20 seconds, isnt enough)?

when i remove the iwatch from the cable the power off becomes active (white and orange color) but again no response when i hold it for the same aforementioned period.

I followed your instructions and got to the point which says "Erase all data and settings". I tapped on that and another window oped, saying "Are you sure you want to erase everything. This can't be undone" with a red x mark and a green tick mark at the bottom. I clicked on green several times but nothing happens. After timeout, it again asks for the passcode. Please help.

My password stopped working on my Apple Watch. I attempted to unpair my watch and it only unpaired from my phone and didn’t clear any data on my watch. I attempted the steps suggested above, and my watch simply does a soft reset. How can I erase my Apple Watch (so I can re-pair it with my phone) if my passcode doesn’t work and I can’t erase it from my phone?

I received a brand new 1st gen iWatch (battery swollen and piped off the face on old watch) However I can't get the new watch to work at all.

I tried resetting by pressing the side button and then pressing down firmly on the Power off on the face but it just get smaller for a moment but that's all. I tried VERY firmly still nothing.

Iwatch just wants to sync but says my iPhone has an outdated OS. IPhone says It's up to date.

Can't even get the watch to tell time. Useless this way.

Help!

Hi Jonathan,

Hoping you can help me. My daughter broke the screen on her apple Iwatch 2. She purchased a new watch and gave me this one, and has removed the watch from her icloud account. She was unable to unlock the watch prior to giving it to me, therefore it has not been paired to my phone and has been locked for 3 weeks I just had the screen and digitizer replaced and picked it up today. I have a message on the screen that has a "Wrong Passcode" message. I tried following your steps listed above however my power button is gray (inactive) and it is connected to the power because it is charging. I have access to her pass code but not her Iphone. Any way to either get this thing to reset or even just back to the pass code screen? I'm curious if it could be due to just having it repaired? Any help is greatly appreciated!

This helped me so much! Thank you!! I ended up resetting everything on my phone last night & then this morning when I put my Apple Watch on my passcode wouldn’t work. When I went to Bluetooth, it wouldn’t connect to my phone so I had literally been trying all day to figure out how to reset it & fix it. This helped me so so so much!!!

Hi, I have a similar but different issue. When updating with latest suggests my watch hung. Then I tried to unpair and now my watch is unpaired with my phone. When I start my I watch it asks for a code and when I press the side button it does nothing but turn itself off. I wanted to erase all data but just not an option. All ideas appreciated as I keep seeing the white Apple and no progress thereafter. Thanks.
