Help! I just upgraded last night and today I have no...

quicken. I need my data! How can I get it from my backup. Can I simply take my backup an install it to before the update? If so how? I am at a loss and need to have my taxes and checking info. Why are people not told that their information will all be lost? I am an apple customer, but really hate how they update so often and trash what you have and use! Help!

MacBook Pro, macOS Sierra (10.12)

What version of Quicken are you using? Does it open at all?

Where did you keep your Quicken files? Have you look there? You can download and run Find Any File to search for any files with the the Quicken extension. For Quicken 2007 for Mac it's .qdfm.

FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't like invisible folders, system folders and packages. If there's a Quicken file on your hard drive FAF will find it.

Otherwise restore the backup cope of the file made just prior to upgrading to Sierra. With Time Machine it's very easy to do so.
