sienna upgrade

Hello

I have a 2011 macbook pro(10.8.5) and wanted to know if I have to upgrade to yosimite or el capitain before going on to the new sienna os?

No, you can just download the Sierra update from the Mac App store and upgrade directly. As with any software change or update, please be sure you have an up to date backup in place before making any major changes to your system.

Yup. My current model i7 15" MacBook Pro Retina (16GB, 1TB SSD) is running Sierra now. My older late-2008 15" model is too old though. The upgrade went fine with no problems.
