Q: Exit split view

I opened one of my games, and then I tried closing it, but the X, -, and triangle button wouldn't appear, nor my top menu. So I quit my game and one side of my desktop was blue. I clicked on the other side, and that side had a blue tint. How do I fix this?

    Hello xjmc05x!

Thanks for bringing your question about exiting Split View and having one side have a blue tint.  Split View is a great feature but if it's causing a graphic anomaly, that would definitely get in the way of gaming and general usage.  As a fellow gamer, I'm happy to help out today.

Per the article on Split View:

Use two Mac apps side by side in Split View

    Normally when exiting:

    Exit Split View

    1. Move the pointer to the top of the screen to show the window buttons, then click the full-screen button  .
    2. The other window remains in full-screen view. You can switch to it with Mission Control, or use a Multi-Touch gesture such as swiping left or right with four fingers on your trackpad.
To address this issue, I'd like you to first start by doing an SMC reset.

Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac

Once the Mac is started up again, please test to see if the blue color persists on your display.

    Take care.
