Q: Strange iCloud backup behaviour...

In order to try to fix the impossibility to complete mu iPhone iCloud backup, I am following some step suggested in this community.

One of this step is to delete the iCloud backup.

I did it, but the following two strange behaviour are happening...

1) By going in setting, iCloud space, iPhone backup, I get the message "Last backup: never" which makes sense. However, If I go to iCloud\Backup, I get the message "Last backup 25th september 2015"... which really doesn't make sense as I deleted the backup and, in case it was not, there are hundreds of more recent backup after that shown date.

2) My old iPhone backup (a week ago), before deleting it, was 6.5GB. Now the prediction for the next (first) backup is just 3.6GB... why?? As there are no stored backup I am expecting to get at least the same size I needed a week ago, i.e. 6.5GB... why such a prediction??

Was this backup via iCloud or through iTunes?

The likely reason for this discrepancy is that your iCloud backup actually includes some data that can’t be excluded and therefore doesn’t appear on the list. If you go into your Settings > check under General Usage, you should see a list of the storage being used by all of the apps on your iPhone, including those that don’t appear on iCloud.

    1) I don't know as it is from one year ago and I daily backed up via iCloud and monthly via iTunes.

    2) So you mean that those 3.6GB is without including the apps that on the contrary will be backed up?

However I left my iPhone backupping during the night still without success.

I got the message "Some files were not available during your last backup"... why??!
