Oct 11, 2016 12:14 AM in response to DollyBmby vvuiverine,I have a very similar issue but getting more and more extreme.
At this point I'm suspecting Sierra, but cannot verify until I've reverted to El Capitan. For various reasons I have been unable to do this, namely because I refuse to spend $14.00 on a USB-C to USB adapter. Sierra doesn't allow me to downgrade; the beta Updated release with fixes is only available to registered developers; Netinstall will not function over WiFi, and my 3rd part Ethernet for the MacBook will not load the driver in the MacBook for a netboot (loads driver right as macOS boot completes).
I have to drive out of town to the Apple Store Tomorrow for a scheduled Genius appt. I will update your post once I have some answers from this visit. Currently, I am really frustrated with the way Apple left me land-locked with Sierra and an expensive nonfunctional laptop.
