Q: Random Single-Artist Albums appearing under Compilations

Have researched a lot on this and can't find anyone with quite the same issue. Since iOS 10, I have a good 50 albums that suddenly appeared under Compilations in Apple Music. They are not compilations, they don't feature multiple artists and at no point did I ever check the "Album is a Compilation of Songs..." checkbox. So I would like them to NOT be listed under Compilations. How to do this?

I understand that sometimes bugs occur due to hard drives being flaky and system upgrades. I'm on Sierra with the latest iTunes on my Mac. These same albums do NOT appear under Compilations in iTunes.

I've tried

-deleting them from iTunes and re-adding them

-adding characters to fields like Artist or Album or Album Artist (after checking ok, deleting the extra characters)

-Checking the "Album is a Compilation" checkbox (after checking ok, unchecking)

The latter two items will "trick" Apple Music into thinking the album is no longer a compilation. (That's right, if I check the "Album is a Compilation" checkbox in iTunes for these particular albums, Apple Music will REMOVE the album from Compilations!) The problem occurs when I undo the above changes, hoping for a reset, i.e. delete the characters or uncheck the "Album is a Compilation" checkbox. Then Apple Music goes right back to its original thinking and files them under Compilations. I have thousands of albums, meticulously organized, so this is frustrating to have no solution to these random albums being filed under Compilations.

Any other solutions someone can think of?
