Q: Notification not showing on MacBook pro

I have a macbook pro and updated it to iOS Sierra. My notification tab under system preference is not showing any apps to allow for notification on the laptop. I tried going under my iMessages preference to fix but there seem to be no option. Could you please assist me to allow my apps to show notification under the notification tab on the laptop

Try clicking on the settings icon in the bottom right corner of the notifications tab. There you can customize the settings for each app.

I tried it but it only shows the "do not disturb tab under the apps" Do you know how i can add my Imessage and mail to it to show notifications
