Q: If I cancel my membership, will I lose all my downloaded songs?

If they are not songs you have purchased, and you downloaded them from the Music Library, then they will go away. You will only retain music you own.

If you stop your subscription then you will not be able to play any downloaded music that you have downloaded but they will still stay on your iCloud library so if you decide to re activate your subscription at a later time all your playlists etc will be available to you.
