mouse scroll

I have updated my mac os to Sierra recently, but i found out that after the update, my mouse won't function properly. As i play minecraft on my MacBook air, it is important for a single scroll to be detected. However, my mouse will not scroll on one single scroll anymore, unlike that before the update. So now i cannot play minecraft. I have tried with a different mouse but it has the same issue. I really need support. Any help will be appreciated.

Have you tried Preferences > Accessibility > Mouse & Trackpad > Mouse Options... and set the scrolling speed to be slower?

The likely reason is that you have an older version of the mouse ... and Sierra, in fact El Capitan, too, require the new version 2 mouse for full functionality. Is yours the battery version with the battery compartment underneath. With the new version you charge it directly from the machine ports. And never have batteries to change.
