this only works if you have a 5s and above and having 2 phones with different ways to unlock them is ANNOYING.

This is a rubbish update and i think i'm done with this forced rubbish updates and i think its a time for a change if they don't resolve this because i'm done with this if they don't.

Apple does what it does when it does. And will continue to do so unless it sees a huge drop in sales. Which judging from iPhone 7 sales data, has not happened.

So if your threat is serious, don't let the door hit you in the bum on the way out. The rest of us will continue to work with what we have.

There's a workaround.

Tap Settings > General > Accessibility > Home Button then tap Reset Finger to Open ON.

This is a new feature of iOS 10. Many users like this option. But if you don't like it, you can just turn it off. Go to Settings, tap General, go to Accessibility. Choose Home button. Toggle Rest Finger to Open button to turn it off. This way you will be able to disable Press Home to Unlock feature.
