Q: MacOS Sierra & Photos :(

did the upgrade now most of my photos have an explanation mark where the picture once was.

 

can anyone help me here?

    Where is your Photos library located? If on an external hard drive what format is it and how is it connected? Have you reun an cleanup software (hint - do not as it is not needed and often causes major problems)

     

    if you rotate one thumbnail and then rotate it back does it resolve this? ID it does you can selet a large group of photos (up to about 1000) and rothte them all and then rotate them all back so the entire library can be done quickly
